Victoria Fine Foods
A premium brand website for Victoria Fine Foods featuring recipe filtering, ingredient comparison tools, and a sophisticated design system built on a white-label framework.

The Brand
Victoria Fine Foods came to us as part of the B&G brand family. Their existing site was outdated and didn't reflect the premium positioning of their products: artisanal pasta sauces with genuinely minimal ingredients. They needed a full redesign that felt sophisticated and modern while honoring the brand's Italian heritage.

Premium Design System
I built the front end on top of our white-label component framework, but Victoria's budget allowed for significant customization beyond the standard system. The design language paired vintage typography with modern neutral tones: retro serif fonts alongside clean all-caps type, rich accent colors, and a subtle gold foil texture that echoed their physical packaging.
The best brand websites don't just show products. They make you feel something about the brand before you even think about buying.
Ingredient Comparison Tool
One of Victoria's biggest selling points was their short ingredient lists, so short they fit on the front of the label. I built an interactive comparison tool that let users see Victoria's ingredients side-by-side with competitors. It was a simple concept but technically satisfying to build: dynamic data rendering with smooth transitions that made the comparison feel dramatic.

Recipe Browser
The recipe section was a major upgrade. The old site buried recipes behind poor navigation and low-quality photography. I built a modern, filterable recipe experience:
- Search and filtering by occasion, product line, and keyword
- Card-based grid layout with responsive masonry for recipe browsing
- Full-viewport recipe detail pages with dramatic photography, serving info, and share functionality
- Related recipes to keep users exploring

Product Filtering
The original product organization was confusing, buried behind extra navigation layers with no way to compare across product lines. I reorganized everything into a clean two-tier system (sauce vs. non-sauce) with sub-category filtering and keyword search, letting users quickly find specific flavors or ingredients.

Navigation Overhaul
The original nav relied on confusing dropdowns where sub-pages didn't correspond to parent items. I simplified the top-level navigation, removed dropdown functionality entirely, and restructured content to surface recipes and lifestyle content that had been previously buried in the footer.
The Result
The redesigned site gave Victoria Fine Foods a digital presence that matched the premium quality of their products. The recipe section became a genuine traffic driver, the ingredient comparison tool reinforced their brand differentiator, and the whole experience felt like the high-end brand it was meant to represent.
